The 2026 Championships, Wimbledon Weekend Planning Blueprint

Wimbledon rewards knowing the rituals. Here is the fortnight playbook.

1. Decide your ticket route early. The Public Ballot is applied for months ahead; The Queue is same-day and first-come — arrive at dawn for a show court, or camp overnight for the best chance.
2. Get off at Southfields, not Wimbledon. Despite the name, the closest Tube stop is Southfields on the District line — a 15–20 minute walk or a shuttle bus to the Grounds.
3. Base in Wimbledon Village. Staying in the Village puts you walking distance from the Club and in the middle of the off-court pub-and-restaurant scene.
4. Lean into the traditions. Strawberries and cream, an early Henman Hill spot, smart-casual dress — the rituals are the point. Bring a layer; English summer is unpredictable.
